At Titan Decks, we build outdoor spaces that combine clean design, structural strength, and long-term performance. This featured project takes us to the Townes at Oak Pointe subdivision in Green Oak Township, where we constructed an elevated composite deck designed to deliver durability, low maintenance, and a sharp modern finish.

This deck was built with a strong framing package that includes 6×6 posts, 2×10 beams, and 2×10 joists spaced 12 inches on center. That tighter joist spacing helps create a more solid feel underfoot and provides the support needed for a premium composite deck surface.

For the decking and fascia, this project features Trex Clamshell. The color gives the deck a crisp, contemporary look while offering the low-maintenance benefits homeowners want from composite materials. It resists moisture, fading, and everyday wear, making it a smart choice for Michigan’s changing weather.

To complete the space, we installed black Trex Rod Rail. The horizontal profile keeps the design feeling open and modern while preserving backyard views. The contrast between the Clamshell decking and the black railing gives this deck a clean, finished appearance that fits the home well.

Below the deck, a weed barrier and gravel base were installed to help with drainage and reduce maintenance over time. That added detail helps keep the area beneath the deck cleaner and more functional.

The finished result is a strong, attractive outdoor living space built for everyday enjoyment and long-term performance.
